What is Reiki you might ask? Reiki is a form of alterative treatment that is designed to activate the parasympathetic nervous system to promote healing. When the parasympathetic nervous system (PSNS) is activated, it slows our heart and breathing rates, lowers blood pressure and promotes digestion. Our body enters a state of relaxation, and this relaxation breeds recovery.
Reiki practitioners act as conduits to release these trapped energies and allow the body to heal as it is designed to do naturally. Most clients enter a relaxation stage and may fall asleep during the session and wake up feeling refreshed, lighter and more peaceful.
